Fundraising for my Retreat in Nepal this Spring

This is Dan Hessey. I would love to go to Nepal this Spring to practice and study with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. I am 74 years old, and like all of us, I have no idea how long I will live. It seems timely and appropriate to go into a deep retreat led by my teacher in the land where Guru Rinpoche lived and practiced.

I don't have lots of money—I live simply with Nathan and Betsy Railla, about 15 minutes from Karmê Chöling. If I am fortunate enough to live a while longer, it would be irresponsible of me to spend the money for the retreat. If I die this year, no problem.

If you are able, and feel inspired, I invite you to give me a hand. I need about $6,000. Whatever you can do will help!

Two things come to mind: first, I care about you equally whether or not this is the right thing to do for you.

Second, may all this be of benefit to all sentient beings. Let's practice together for lifetimes, so we can share our good fortune universally.

Funds will be used for travel, retreat costs, and housing.
