Help Support Katie

Hello, Katie and her family are facing a new battle - graft vs host disease in her lungs. She is now on oxygen while doing daily activities, and at night. Because of this Katie and her family have had to outsource some of the daily tasks and we are looking to help cover those expenses. Katie’s strength in the face of each health battle has been incredible, and she needs our help now. Thank you for supporting her while she waits to be accepted for lung transplant. Hi, if you’re here, you know Katie and her family - and you are generously looking to help. The week before Thanksgiving Katie was diagnosed with AML, a type of Leukemia. She will begin treatment on 12/1, and - in true Katie form - is facing things with her signature calm and determined nature. There are going to be lots of additional expenses for the Mateljans while Katie is in treatment. They will need childcare, therapeutic treatments, meals, etc.

Over the next year Katie and her family will face significant childcare and medical costs, as Katie will be recovering from her bone marrow transplant. Our goal is to help support her and her family get to March 2025, a year from

transplant - a huge milestone in her recovery.

Katie has always had the biggest heart in the room, so it comes as no surprise that so many people are wondering how they can help. Now that she is beginning to wrap her head around her treatment plan, we are looking to support her by raising the funds they need so that her family can continue to thrive while her main focus has to be on her health.
