Hi! I'm Ashley Platt, and I'm a Sprint Canoeist. My sister and I were introduced to Sprint Canoe/Kayak in 2020; she became a sprint kayaker, but I love SPRINT CANOE! My goal this year is to compete at the Olympic Hopefuls Regatta in September 2024. I love to compete, and have done so at three ACA Sprint Nationals Championships, bringing home our team's 8th, 9th, and 10th Titles!

Sprint Canoe is hard to learn. It requires an incredible amount of balance and flexibility. I work out on the water as much as possible, squeezing in morning and afternoon water practices -- plus time in the gym! Coaches are awesome and make sure that we are being safe in all we do, both on the water and when strength training.

I love this sport, even though the equipment is expensive. I've bought my own paddle, boat, and safety gear. I am always working anywhere I can to earn money for equipment. I recently bought a new paddle, and am excited to begin training with it!

While I have traveled to Canada for racing, this regatta would be my first overseas trip! I am very excited to participate at a higher level of competition, and I would love to have your support and help in getting me there! Thank you!!!
