Senem needs a life saving operation

Hi, my name is Riz and I'm raising funds for my friend Senem Karakoc. Senem is a beautiful 42 year old woman who sustained life changing injuries this summer, when a much anticipated family holiday turned to tragedy.

Senem fell backwards from the pool into a ravine and is now paralysed from the neck down. She can only breath with the help of a machine.

Her husband has had to give up work to care for her. The family's savings have been completely depleted paying for expensive medical care. Senem is currently in an Ankara hospital waiting for yet more surgery.

As Senem cannot breath independently she needs a life saving operation to insert a battery into her diaphragm. This will enable her to breathe without the machine. She can then start physical therapy to potentially regain mobility. However, this treatment is costly. The health insurance has agreed to cover 40% of the treatment cost, but they are seeking support for the remaining amount.
