Help Betley Cat Rescue to give Winston a new life.

Hi, my name is Stacey Spelman and I am fundraising for Betley Cat Rescue to cover the vet bills for this lovely old boy Winston who has been straying around the kidsgrove area for 3 years that I have known.. but others have said around 20 years.. yes 20 YEARS!

That is 20 cold Winters and 20 hot Summers on the streets.

After 3 years, dozens of failed attempts and a broken ankle later I finally managed to catch him with the help of my Daughter.

We took him to a vet who agreed he is around 20 years old.

He has severe arthritis and that's why he is limping.

He is riddled with fleas and has fleabite dermatitis so badly that it looks like his back has been shaved.

He also has bad and very few teeth.

His poor ears are full of mites and their excrement.

His skin is sore and smelly and his fur dirty and matted.

Despite all he has been through he is such a lovely boy who loves his ears rubbed.

After so many calls to different rescues/vets..

The lovely Jo at Betley Cat Rescue has kindly taken him into her care despite being full and the very kind Emily Mia has taken him there and helped me and Winston in so many ways.

He now has a full belly, a warm bed in a cosy pen and a warm water bottle.

So far Jo has given him-

Flea treatment.

Eardrops.

Worm treatment.

Painkillers..and more importantly her time and love.

But he is going to need a full health check, full bloods, treatment and pain relief for his arthritis, sadly his remaining teeth removed..and possibly more pending his health check.

This will cost Jo and the rescue into the thousands and Jo's vet bill for this month alone is already £12,000 and that is without Winston's care on top.
