Hey everyone my name is William Brown and a lot of you know me more closely as just “Will”. I am starting this crowdfund to hopefully raise some support for my mother Janis Brown and father William (Bill) Brown Jr. with whom I share my namesake. I am hoping to help raise money to help my parents with my father’s medical bills that have grossly stacked up due to his cancer returning as muscle invasive stage 4 B metastatic bladder cancer that has spread to his lungs.

In 2004 Dad was initially diagnosed with prostate cancer but was able to catch it early enough to have beat it with a series of routine treatments and return to normal life. Everything seemed to be fine up until a couple of years ago with a scare of it coming back but again we were able to get him treated early enough to negate concern of its spread. But this year we were hit with a hefty dose of bad news. After expressing his concerns to his oncologist of abdominal/discomfort he was told it was just scar tissue from his previous treatments by the oncologist and would

become better, but it did not because after expressing these concerns again and running through a string of tests, scans and biopsies it was then diagnosed as stage 4 metastatic bladder cancer and became muscle invade and has since spread throughout his lungs.

Treatments ensued but chemo was ineffective and and we are now in line for keytruda. Keytruda is an immune system booster to fight cancer and works effectively when your immune system is functioning in proper fashion but as some of you may know dad was admitted to Flagler hospital on 11/16/23 with low oxygen initially and was kept until 11/29/23 with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Being a bacterial infection there were tests ran on his blood work, phlegm, spittle, port he was receiving his chemo in and all turned up inconclusive and through a gauntlet of antibiotics they still were not able to figure out and has since been sent home with oxygen and self administered IV antibiotics.

With the confusion, unsuccessful testing, extended stay in the renal care unit and upcoming treatments when his system back up my family will be experiencing some financial hardships as my mother is the only one working and dad is unable

to. I will be helping as much as I possibly can alongside my brother and sister but nobody in our family is wealthy outside of the love we have for each other and will require assistance financially if you are able to help or even share if you are able to.
