Hello! I'm Sarah!

I broke my ankle back in April. What should have been a few weeks of recovery has turned into several months, and now I'm at the point of needing surgery.

Due to the nature of my job, I do not get sick pay, and I will need at least seven weeks of recovery. That's seven weeks without pay. Temporary disability is a shockingly low amount, barely enough to cover groceries.

I'm asking for help to assist with my rent and bills during this time of zero income. The money will go towards my housing, my gas and electric, care of my two elderly cats, and other household bills. It will also be used to help with Uber costs for when I do have to return to work, as my subway station is not accessible. If this exceeds the goal, I may be able to take a much-needed eighth week off to insure I am healed enough to return to work.
