Madalyn’s Service Dog: Brioche, a Beacon of Hope
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Madalyn and I’m fundraising for a Service Dog from A Better Pet LLC. I have five progressive, intractable chronic illnesses that have left me isolated and dependent upon constant care. Namely, Ehlers-Danlos, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Migraines, and Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures. I want to have independence in my life and a service dog can provide that. I will also benefit from the companionship and care the service dog will bring. With the help of Rachel Friedman, a professional Service Dog Trainer and the owner of A Better Pet LLC, I will be training the service dog to be perform medical alerts, support during seizures and fainting spells, mobility assistance, and basic tasks like picking up things from the ground and opening doors. This will greatly improve my quality of life.
Cost Breakdown: $3000 + tax for the dog (due: 12/08/23) and $18000 for the training ($9000 initial deposit 12/08/23, then $3000 each month for three months due 01/30/24, 02/28/24, and 03/31/24 respectively). Then there’s an extra $4000 for tagging, spaying/hernia correction, and equipment.
