Help Piper Heal – Support for Her Ongoing Vet Care at Crown Veterinary Specialists. 

Hi everyone,

My name is Alison Ward, and I’m reaching out to ask for help on behalf of my sweet yellow lab, Piper.

Recently, Piper underwent surgery to remove a mast cell tumor. In order to get the clean margins needed to prevent the cancer from spreading, the surgeons had to remove her entire left ear. It was a heartbreaking decision, but one I made to give her the best possible shot at living out the rest of her years she was meant to have. True to her resilient spirit, Piper has been healing well from the surgery — tail still wagging, tongue still licking, and spirit still strong.

Unfortunately, our journey isn’t over yet. Piper is now suffering from back pain that’s making it incredibly difficult for her to walk. Watching her struggle — especially knowing how active and full of life she’s always been — has been incredibly hard. I’m currently working with her vet to explore treatment options and manage her pain, but the mounting costs of diagnostics, medication, possible surgery, and ongoing care are overwhelming.

Asking for help isn’t easy, but Piper means the world to me. She’s been my loyal companion for the past ten years — always full of love, joy, and snuggles — and now she needs me more than ever.
