Aloha Family and Friends,

We are the Fujioka’s from Oahu setting up this Go Fund Me page for one of our dear friends’ family (Badua / Sumibcay families of Lahaina) home and belongings, all of which was lost in the recents fires on Maui. There’s is a very common story, it was the Grandmother’s house with multiple generations living within, they literally had to run out of the house to save their lives, leaving them with only the clothes they had on. The family also lost their 3 family dogs to the fire. These are good, hardworking local people who deserve all the help they can get.

Please see this fund as a rare opportunity to give directly to the recipients in need during a crisis. 100% of this fund will go directly to the family and their specific needs. Unlike the Red Cross and other organizations that pay their workers before getting the money to where it needs to go, every cent donated to this fund will go to the people the funds are intended for. I ask you to remember how it used to be in Hawaii, when us locals referred to each other as “cousin” regardless of race or family relations, dating all the way back to the fields and plantation housing, where local culture was born. On that, one of my cousins and his family lost EVERYTHING, so I’m asking all the other cousins out there, please help!
