Restoring Hope After “Traumatic Brain Injury"

Dear Family, Friends, and Good Samaritans of the World,

Please join us in turning our story from one of Tragedy to one of Triumph! We are reaching out to you today with humble hearts and a plea for financial support as we navigate an unexpected challenging chapter in our lives. My husband Dereck Chandler, a vibrant young 41-year old father of two children experienced what could have turned into fatal slip and fall injury that has resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury on October 28, 2023. Three weeks in and two different hospitals later, we are trying our best to see our way through it all.

This is a call for the uplifting of this family, the Chandlers, in whatever capacity is welcomed and invaluable currently. It is in this spirit that we are launching this GoFundMe campaign.

Our Story:

Dereck is a vibrant soul full of life, his great love for his family and friends is second to none. He is an amazingly proud father of our two children, ages 4 and 17 years old. It is heart-breaking to see him in this situation. Dereck was on vacation to celebrate the memory of his grandmother, on what would have been her 95th birthday on travel from Arizona to New York.

We are currently grappling with not only the emotional toll, but also the daunting financial burden that comes with the challenges of relocating unexpectedly from Arizona to New York. We have great faith in God and your blessings, that he will have a full recovery. We believe in the power of God, prayer and you the community as we lean on the strength that comes from standing together in times of grave hardship.
