I am the daughter of Efren Bello. I am the middle child of my two siblings. Our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer December 2015. We were devastated about the news but we are strong in our faith and asked our Lord to guide us through this journey. Our father went in as a warrior going through chemotherapy until April 6 when he took a turn for the worst. Our dad regressed in his health as he no longer could eat or move. He developed myositis and was in the hospital until the end of August. He went through rigorous physical therapy to regain his strength and a feeding tube through his stomach. He started to make gains but since his diet drastically changed, it made his immune system get weaker and got worst. As the months, weeks and days pass our dad is getting weaker. My brothers and I and many of our family and friends have been a great emotional and spiritual support. As we fast forward to today out dad is now terminally ill. He is under the care of hospice and we ask God to make his will. It is very hard to prepare for services when we always remember dad as an active and caring person that always made others laugh and was there for many. Not only is our dad, but a father figure to many. I am reaching out to help pay for the costs of funeral services as we know he will part very soon.
