LT Bostick Pickering Cancer Fund

Recently L.T. was diagnosed with breast cancer. Before having time to even process this diagnosis L.T. was rapidly having to navigate a whirlwind of doctor appointments, sessions with the insurance company and appointments with surgeons. This has involved trips to Katy, TX, which is 5 1/2 hours away from home. All of this while L.T. continues to try to work her full time job as an R.N., a job she loves. Having worked her career for many years with both children and adults in the behavioral health/psychiatric field, L.T. has had the opportunity to touch so many lives and has always approached her patients with empathy, respect and has offered her knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Now is the time for her to be shown that same compassion. L.T. is a deeply private person, and having lost her husband a few years ago has found herself to be very independent in caring for herself. However, as we all realize, it is during these times of emotional, physical and financial hardship that L.T. needs the help of family, friends and community. There are so many expenses outside of what insurance will cover including travel, gas, meals and lodging, out of pocket insurance, missed time from work. It is our hope that with help from friends and community that much of this hardship can be alleviated so that L.T. can focus on her treatment and recovery. As of this date L.T. has a procedure scheduled on December 18 in Houston, TX, and her major surgery will be on December 27 in Houston, TX. Prognosis is very promising and we are certainly praying for a successful surgery and a non-complicated recovery. Please continue to keep L.T. in your prayers. Your help is greatly appreciated.
