Hodaya and Tair's Fundraising Page

Allow me to introduce to you two beautiful girls, Hodaya (26) and Tair (23) David. These two sisters, only 3 years apart in age, loved to travel the world and embraced life together, always creating lasting memories. They shared a love for exploration, travel and learning new cultures. They adored their family and friends and loved meeting new people. Their love for music and dancing led them to the Nova music festival for what was supposed to be a weekend of fun and dancing with their friends. On the morning of October 7, 2023 their life came to a brutal end as they, along with 260 innocent, young, beautiful people were brutally massacred by the terrorist organization Hamas.

Shortly before they were killed, they called their father Uri who tried to guide them to safety. All he could hear in the background were gunshots and people screaming. He told them to lay on the ground, hold each other’s hands, and to pray with him. Seconds later, the phone disconnected and that was the last time their father would ever hear his daughters voices again.

The irony of it all is that the festival was called Supernova and it's mission was to bring people together in unity and peace. Instead, it turned out to be the deadliest concert attack in history.

I’m writing to you today as a family member of theirs and ask to find it in your heart to contribute to this fund so that the family can write a Sefer Torah in honor of Hodaya and Tair. Writing this Sefer Torah in their honor is a beautiful and meaningful way for their family and friends to remember and cherish their memories forever. I know the family would be extremely grateful and thankful to you all for participating.

שתי אחיות יפות וטהורות, ממרכז הארץ, שאהבו את החיים, חגגו וקידשו אותן, שהאמינו בטוב ועשו טוב בחייהן.

תמיד עזרו לחלש ותמכו באחר.

יצאו למסיבה ב7 לאוקטובר שממנה לא חזרו, נטבחו ע״י בני עוולה אך ורק בגלל שהן יהודיות.

שתיהן היו קרן שמש גדולה, שתמשיך להאיר את ליבנו לעד.
