This relief fund is for medical expenses, and financial help for Clint Stanley. Clint is a father of 5, but is called "Dad" and friend, by several young adults throughout Tennessee, Georgia, and Idaho, that he has been an important father figure, and mentor to.
Clint has 6 grandchildren that mean the world to him. And, his wife, Erica, who has been by his side for 27 years. Clint is a big man at 6'6", but his heart is much bigger! He's always wanted to be the one giving. But, over the last year, Clint's health has continued to decline to where he has had trouble functioning with even simple task, most of the time.
And, since June of this year he has been in and out of the hospital more often than not; with heart problems. Which in September led to the finding of a mass in his lungs. Last week, the diagnosis came of lung cancer.
Clint will have to undergo surgeries, and radiation, and possibly chemotherapy, also. A lot of what will take place will be done in Spokane, WA, and Couer d'Alene, Idaho. With possible trips to Seattle, WA.
As it is, Clint already has to travel to Lewiston, Idaho for all his other doctor appointments. And, has struggled with the money to be there already. God has sent ones in the hardest of times, that have been a blessing already. But, besides those times, Clint and his family have really struggled over the last year. Selling most of what they had to keep going; as Clint's wife has been his caretaker through all of this.
Many times Clint almost didn't make it through this last year. Times of not being able to sleep, of not being able to get up on his own. Struggling with pain, and nausea constantly. But, God and prayers of some wonderful people, have kept him this far. And, for a reason!
So, right now we're asking for continued prayers. This has been a very hard time. And, there's fear over what the future holds. But, also a belief in Jesus, and his faithfulness. And, a deep appreciation for all those that have loved and carried Clint through this.
It's never been an easy thing for Clint to ask for anything. And, it's still something he doesn't want to do. So, we're asking, if God lays it on your heart to help Clint, and his family through this time financially; it would be a great blessing. And, a burden lifted off their shoulders to take care of what is needed at this time. If you're unable to help financially, then more than anything, please continue to lift Clint in your prayers. As that is the most important thing above all.
All our appreciation and love.
