My name is Bob Habovick and I am creating this fund for my son, Bobby. Bobby is 28 years old, but his life completely changed when he was 20, and hasn’t been the same since. Bobby was a straight A student, a goalie on the Bethel Park Roller Hockey team, and a body builder. He went to Triangle Tech for HVAC school and graduated with a 4.0 GPA and multiple job offers, he had his whole life ahead of him. But unfortunately this is when all of his pain and suffering began. He started experiencing pain in his neck and shoulders which eventually lead to lower and upper back pain, radiating down into his hips and later on his whole body. As months went by, everything got harder. Which lead to him having trouble walking, lifting his arms, and everyday normal tasks became impossible. Searching for any answers, we’ve been to multiple orthopedic doctors, neurologists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, and even the Cleveland Clinic but still no answer while bobby only seemed to get worse. We’ve tried absolutely everything, with no answers and little hope left we finally found The Spero Clinic where he was diagnosed with CRPS. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. CRPS is a severe chronic pain syndrome that arrises when both the peripheral and central nervous system malfunction which causes a pain cycle where the nerves are constantly sending pain signals to the brain. The Spero Clinic, located in Fayetteville Arkansas is the only place in the country who specifically treats CRPS, but they do not accept insurance. Bobby has been there for 17 weeks now, making progress that is encouraging for a full recovery. To pay for all of this I had to use all of my retirement funds and savings with the clinic, caregivers, and room/board averaging around $5,000 a week. I am working 2-3 jobs to just make things work, but the doctors still believe he needs another 15 weeks to complete the therapy and live a pain free life. In total his treatment will exceed $140,000. I’m looking to raise $60,000 to help complete his treatment and get his life back that he never got to live yet, and get my son back. Any help at all is greatly appreciated, thank you and god bless.
