Our dad, a dedicated U.S. history professor, proud father of two, and loving grandfather of two, recently suffered a serious stroke that has changed his life — and ours — in an instant. As he begins the long and challenging road to recovery, we're asking for help to support his care and rehabilitation.

He’s always been someone who shows up for others. Whether he was in the classroom sharing his love of history, watching Alabama football on Saturdays, or cheering on the Cubs through every season, he brought passion, energy, and heart to everything he did.

Now, he’s facing a new kind of challenge. The stroke has affected his mobility and speech, and he’s currently in rehab working hard every day to regain his strength and independence. The journey ahead involves extensive therapy, medical care, and home modifications — all of which come with growing expenses.
