If you are reading this, then it was meant to find you. My name is Jenny, and Josie is my French Bulldog. I got Josie at the age of 8 weeks. She fit right in with our family of 7 and her 2 Boston Terrier sisters, Ruby & Ella. All 3 of them appeared in all my YouTube videos over the years. They touched so many lives and hearts around the world. Ruby battled 2 cancers and had to have her leg amputated. I spent well over $30k for her treatments, and I would do it all over again if I had to. Sadly, we lost Ruby on Dec 31st, 2024, at the age of 16. Just 3 months before that, we lost sweet Ella. Josie was so sad that her sisters were gone, and she was the only one left. Josie and I have always been close, but after the passing of Ruby & Ella, she was now my best friend & sidekick.
Just 2 days after her 11th birthday, Josie suffered 3 Grand Mal seizures just hours apart. That is when everything changed, and I've been lost since. From Feb 7th - Feb 26, she has had 7 Grand Mal seizures & 8 Focal seizures. All of them have been under 45 seconds long. She has been to the ER 3 times totaling $3,436.36, her regular vet 4 times totaling $670.54, and has been to the VCA Hospital in Fishers, Indiana, 3 times totaling $5,941.00. Grand total of $10,047.90. And this is just the start. She is on 7 different meds right now: Levetiracetam, Phenobarbital, Prednisone, Omeprazole, Gabapentin, Trazodone, and Midazolam. The last 3 meds I give only when needed. She had an MRI & biopsy on Feb 3rd, and it will be 5-7 days till we get the results. There are a couple more tests and procedures they can do, but I cannot afford them. One of them is CSF Analysis Cytology which the estimate they gave me is between $1,620.24 -$1,701.25. None of the tests, procedures & meds are cheap.
Thankfully, over 100 people donated on the last GoFundMe I had so Josie could have the MRI. I did the fundraiser through Waggle, so in order for them to send the payment to the VCA, I had to end the fundraiser. So many people have contacted me to start up another one for her since she will still need more tests and possibly surgery, so that's why I'm starting this one. Please do not feel like you have to donate; a prayer for Josie would be greatly appreciated. She needs around-the-clock care and cannot be left alone. I have been by her side this whole time. Josie means the world to me, and I want to be able to provide her with all the care she needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring to help my sweet girl get better. Because of you, your the reason Josie has a chance to stay here with us longer.. Forever Grateful.
