In October of 2013, April Armbrust had some unexpected issues that resulted in surgery. In February of 2014 her issues returned. After the second surgery she was told that she has an advanced rare, genetic cancer - Adenoma Malignum. The prognosis was dismal but we KNOW she can beat the odds!
She began her fight against the cancer in April of 2014. During the treatment, her employer "eliminated" her position. That was very disappointing to her collegues and the families that she had dedicated her time and efforts to help. It was also emotionally devastating to April, who loved her work.
The loss of income and the medical costs has been a financial struggle for April and her family. So far, there has been around $20,000 in expenses, loss of income, medical expenses and travel costs for treatment. We would love to raise funds to help them stabilize as they continue this fight!
