Help me keep a family together!!!!!  There is a family in desperate need of car repairs or a new car.  The mom is a single mom.  She has 8 children, 4 of which still live with her.  Her family is made up of biological children, adopted children, and foster children.  Many of these children have diagnosed disabilities, require medication, wrap around services, mental health services, and therapeutic supports.   The transmission on their car went out unexpectedly  last week.  Without a working vehicle she can not be considered a stable foster placement which means the foster children are at risk of getting moved from this home.  They experienced abuse and neglect with their biological family and have already lived in several different foster homes.  For the first time in the 7 and 8 years they have been alive they are in a safe, stable, loving home with a mother that loves them and is working around the clock to get them the support they need to make sure they are able to succeed despite the things they have experienced in life so far.  Finances are very very tight for this family due to the incredibly complicated needs of these new foster children.  This mom will not be able to repair or replace her car without this help.  This is her only chance at getting a working vehicle so she can keep her foster children in her home.  I have been able to get some money already to cover the cost of a rental car so she has a working vehicle while we find a solution for this problem.  We have been working with a company that will be able to do the repairs at a significantly lower rate than all other auto body shops she has talked to.  At this point we are working to raise between $3,000 and $6,000 to go towards all the repairs her vehicle needs.  It will be getting a new transmission, new tires, electrical repairs, and a few other small repairs.  Once we raise the money, the shop can have the repairs done in 3 days.  We are hoping the work can be done by Monday or Tuesday of next week so we don't have to continue to pay for a rental car.  So we need this money as soon as possible!
