Hi my name is Jamie and I'm fundraising for my husband Charlie. One year ago this man was a hot air balloon pilot and able to live a normal life. All of a sudden he got ill and diagnosed with cancer and diabetes type 1. He beat the odds of the cancer. The outcome due to medications and illness he ended up with neurapathy. This has caused him to not be able to work, not being able to be a pilot, and not being able to live out what is left. Among medications, braces and a cane he cannot walk. Everything my husband was once able to do has become non existent. The one thing he has asked for is a track wheelchair. This can allow him to get around, enjoy what time with his grandkids he can and most importantly be able to do things that were taken from him. Right before Christmas we almost lost him. The mental state has made day to day activities hard and almost impossible. Unfortunately I have medical insurance but this type if wheelchair is not covered. I just want to see my husband happy again and cherish what memories he is still able to make. His life has been cut short and I want to see what time he does have left with his family and friends to be the best they can be. We appreciate anything. If this is the last thing he wants then I want to make sure he gets this.
