Andrew Yearwood is a 28-year-old Barbadian musician who takes pride in being active. Andrew is a member of the Krosfyah and has played with many other bands across the country. He also runs a small media production business and spends much of his time not only on stage serenading audiences, but also on his feet filming events, operating drones, and supporting the local motorsports and music communities.
In early June 2025, Andrew was involved in a motor vehicle accident, which shattered his left knee and fractured his left calcaneus.
Local doctors attempted to perform a corrective procedure involving plates and screws, but the procedure was unsuccessful due to the severity of the injury.
Now, 9 months after the initial incident and 3 surgeries later, his situation has gotten progressively worse to the point where he needs a complex total knee replacement with a hinge to regain some sense of normalcy.
These types of complicated surgeries are not available in Barbados or the Caribbean, and thus, Andrew has been referred to a surgeon at The London Clinic in the United Kingdom.
Without this procedure, there is a high possibility that Andrew could lose his left leg if serious action isn’t taken as soon as possible.
Andrew requires 2 procedures, 3 months apart, and thus these procedures, travel expenses, and accommodation are estimated to cost $217,000BDS. any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Please help us to save Andrew’s leg.
