Help Me Save My Family in Gaza
Update: My family is now displaced in Khan Younis. Since they are basically trapped, we are also using funds for basic life necessities while they remain trapped in Khan Younis with nowhere to go.
A message from my cousin Ameera:
"My family of 19, including 8 children, and 4 women, are facing a life-threatening situation. Each night brings more terror with the sounds of war planes and bombings.
The survival of my family depends on gathering the required funds of $50,000. They are my world, and the thought of losing them is unbearable. I dream for the day when we can all be reunited. My father, despite his age, alongside my older brother Ziad, tirelessly works to provide under these dire circumstances, yet the challenges we face grow increasingly unbearable.
I have exhausted every conceivable option in my attempts to offer assistance. Family and friends your support in this critical moment means not just providing aid; it symbolizes standing as a beacon of justice and humanity. "
Meet My Family:
- My Parents: Both 60 years old, the foundation of our family's strength and unity.
- Muhammad (24): Aspires to pursue his studies in human medicine in Egypt.
- Ramadan (22): A former communications engineering student, now without a university to attend due to its destruction.
- Mahmoud (18): A high school student waiting to attend university, hopeful to rebuild his dreams.
- Abdul Rahman (14): My youngest brother, still in middle school, works with my father to keep my family alive.
- Fatima (36): My elder sister, employed by international institutions, struggles to support her three children, Khalil (11), Layla (9), and Najat (4).
- Ahmed (39): Fatima's husband, together they face the daunting task of providing for their family in these horrific times.
- Ziad (35) and Omnia (23): My brother and his wife, along with their children Magdy (4) and Najat (9 months).
- Ahed (29): My sister living on the eastern border, her home was targeted. Alongside her husband, Muhammad (30), and their children, Samih (5) and 8 month old baby.
The Total Amount Needed:
- The amount we are required to pay is $2,500 for each child.
- The total amount for all children is $20,000.
- And $5,000 for every person over 16 years old. The total amount for adults is $55,000.
- $1,500 buffer for expenses in Egypt (30 day expenses)
- $1,500 to expedite process
Our biggest priority is to get the children out first. Please help us.
The funds will be used for the following purposes:
- The funds will be used to evacuate my family and save their lives.
- Meet the basic needs of my family while in Gaza awaiting evacuation. This will include food, water, medicine, blankets, tents, medical needs, and other basic needs.
- Help my family have a place to say and food to eat upon evacuation from Gaza into Egypt.
- Transportation money from the border into Cairo.
The funds will be collected in a US Bank account, then transferred to the family via western union or bank transfer to my family in Gaza to meet their basic needs. For evacuation purposes I will send the money to my cousin Ameera who will utilize the funds to register our families through an Egyptian travel agency.
Additional funds will be collected for meeting basic needs in Egypt after evacuation and eventually help our family immigrate to the country of choice.
