Hey there, everyone!

My name is Colbey Gerber. I'm an international student from South Africa, first studying general sciences at Camosun College, and later transferred to the University of Victoria to pursue a BSc in Microbiology. I've been an international student in Victoria for four years now, and I consider Victoria to be my home. I've made a life here, holding two jobs and forming friendships and colleagues that I consider my family.

The unfortunate thing about being an international student is the fees for school, and if I'm not in school, then the Canadian government will have no reason to keep me in the country. This past year (September 2024-April 2025) was a year with much effort between both of us, is a year that both my mom and I couldn't fully pay for.

This GoFundMe is a request for help, help me keep my dream alive to live in this beautiful country called Canada. Any help would be much appreciated and I thank you in advance. The funds being raised from this GoFundMe will go towards my tuition.
