At Lee's Martial Arts Academy, we believe in building success for our students both on the mat and in the classroom. We recognize the importance of continuous learning, even during those extended summer breaks. That's why we're excited to continue our Summer Reading Program, designed to keep our students engaged, learning, and ahead for the coming school year. For over 30 years, we have used this program to prepare students for their upcoming school year and set them up for success!

Why a Summer Reading Program?

Students today enjoy a summer break of about two and a half months. While this break is a fantastic opportunity for relaxation and fun, it can also lead to the dreaded "summer slide"—a decline in academic skills that can set children back when school resumes. Our Summer Reading Program aims to prevent this by encouraging our students to read regularly, helping them retain and build upon what they've learned during the school year.

Big Commitment = Big Prizes

We want to make this program as motivating and exciting as possible for our students. To achieve this, we plan to reward their hard work with great prizes. We are not talking about 500 or 1,000 minutes over the summer; our students read anywhere from 4,000 minutes to, our record, 22,000 minutes! However, we need your help to make this possible. 100% of all donations and funds raised will go directly to purchasing prizes for the students to ensure all students receive prizes and our top readers receive prizes that reward their hard work!

How You Can Help

Your generous donations will directly contribute to the success of our Summer Reading Program. Here are a few ways you can support us:

1. Donate: Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Your donation will help us provide the necessary resources to keep our students engaged in learning throughout the summer.

2. Share: Spread the word! Share our fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can amplify our impact and reach our goal. We also run car washes throughout the summer for the Reading Program, so stop on by with your family, friends, and neighbors!

Our Goal

We aim to raise more than in previous years to ensure all students are properly rewarded and allow us to continue running this program annually. We have set a goal of raising $4,000 through all our combined fundraising. We hope to continue growing this number as our schools grow and our students continue to make academic improvements!
