Russell Lee Wood

Russell Lee Wood "DJRussy" of Tarrant, AL was born 07/30/92 and died 8/26/22. Russell was a 2010 Graduate of Tarrant High School and was artistically and musically talented. He loved to draw and loved making music beats. In Russell's younger years he loved playing baseball, basketball and football at Tarrant Recreation Center. 

Russell is survived by his mother Cynthia Diann Akins Morales of Fultondale, stepfather Ricardo Herrera Morales of Birmingham, (Father) Marty Dale Wood of Minnesota, grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Palmer Akins of Pinson, sisters  Amber Marie Wood of Tuscaloosa, Angelica Noelle Herrera Morales of Fultondale, and Magdelana Jasmine Morales of Georgia, brothers Jeremy Wade Conner of Sylacauga and Nicholas Miguel Herrera Morales of Birmingham, Nico Morales of Tennessee, Richard Morales of Tennessee, nephew Gage Reach of Kimberly and niece Leida Gray of Fayette, aunts  Kathy Akins Storey (Ken), Darla Akins Peace (Steve), Lori Akins McGowan, and Jennifer Akins Moore (Ken) and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Russell was preceded in death by his grandfather Freddie Akins, grandfather Columbus Leach Wood, Jr., grandmother Judy Sizemore Wood and uncle Craig McGowan.
