365 Dips in 365 Days

Story

On the 13th of January 2021, my daily dips began as a 7-day challenge, evolving into 30 days, then 100 days and believe it or not I will be doing it for an entire year!! It started as a chance to get out of the house, get some fresh air and for a few short moments think of nothing else and escape from this world. Now it is so much more!   The last two years have affected us all in different ways, it saw us slow down, take a beat and gave us plenty of time to think and reflect. For me, it saw me return from a fast-paced life in London, I moved back into my family home, and I was fortunate enough to start a new job remotely here in Dublin.   For others, the time in 'lockdown' has not been as easy and the last two years have severely impacted their wellbeing and mental health. For this reason, I would like to raise funding for this cause, with the challenge I set myself as one of my coping mechanisms. I would like to offer up my '365 Dips in 365 Days' to Pieta House. Pieta provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm. Free 24 Hour Support.   I will be completing my final swim of the 365 day challenge on Wednesday the 12th January. On Sunday, 9th of January I invite you to join me. Come along and support me in completing this challenge and feel free to donate today to my Pieta House fundraiser.
