Treat Billie's Cancer
Donation protected

Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm fundraising for my sweet angel pup Billie. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma. I'm putting this up the day of her diagnosis because we need to see an oncologist asap. Without treatment, she has 1-2 months to live. With treatment, prognosis is significantly better and can be up to 2 years.
Diagnostics and treatment with a specialist starts at $1,000. I've already paid $800 at the regular vet for basic diagnostics - exam fee, bloodwork, heartworm test, and fine needle aspiration to diagnose large cell lymphoma. Treatment can go up to $6,000 depending on the type of lymphoma and how she responds to it. My only goal is for her to be as comfortable as possible in whatever time she has left, and chemotherapy is the way to do that.
Tabi and I found Billie in the parking lot of my Richmond apartment complex in January 2018. She was sweet and friendly and so scared. The complex found her owners but six months later, when we were moving out, we saw her in the street again. Her owners couldn't handle her and said we could take her. I don't like dogs, and am honestly afraid of them, but because of her age and level of anxiety, the vet I took her to said if she went to a shelter she'd likely be put down. So we kept her. Billie and I have had many adventures, especially over the last two years. She's traveled with me from Richmond to Charlottesville to Greensboro, a steadfast companion in otherwise turbulent times. She's the best dog I've ever met and with your help, I'll be able to ensure the best end of life care possible.
Thank you for reading and for your support.
