Hello everyone, my name is Marcus Jaime, and I am doing this on behalf of one of my managers, Kevin Gunn and his family.

October 25th 2021. Kevin and his family reside in the Austin, Texas area and Kevin leads the Applied materials Austin deskside support staff and support operations. On the 25th Kevin tested positive for Covid and began his in-home quarantine. The first few days he had a slight fever and the symptoms of the common cold.

November 1,2021. Kevin sent me a text informing me that he was progressively getting worse and that he was weak and struggling to walk.

November 13,2021. On 11/10 I sent Kevin a text to get a quick checkup as I had not heard from him and I was a bit concerned. On Saturday 11/13 I received a text from Kevin’s cellphone, but it was Kevin’s wife sending the message. In this message she gave me the info that Kevin had been moved into the hospital for treatment.

November 15-19, 2021. Kevin had been placed into ICU and had been intubated to help increase his oxygen levels and give his lungs a bit of a rest. During the week the staff has been rotating him and placing him on dialysis to help with the kidney function.

During this time, I have been able to get to know Kevin’s wife Syndi and the family. Syndi works nights and has not been able to work with Kevin being sick for over a month. During the time of holidays, FAMILY is a big deal and I want to help Syndi with some of the financial burden, so that she can spend quality time with Kevin and the family and not have to worry about the extra things.

A lot of Kevin’s co-workers have asked how they can help and this is one of the ways I believe we can all make a difference in the family’s lives. Please help his family during this terribly difficult time. Finances should be the last thing they have to worry about. Every dollar counts. This will be used for necessary financials. ❤️
