Today, my sister and brother-in-law heard the words no parent ever should have to hear: Your child has cancer. Luke was diagnosed with leukemia and will be spending much of his time at Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse, NY. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, Kelsie is going to be out of work to be with Luke for all of his treatments in the journey ahead. This is going to take a huge financial burden on them with travel expenses, as well as meals, and other necessities. I will do my best to update here as we know more. I am following this with Kelsie’s words:

you never ever know what can happen tommorow as i sit here in upstate cancer center bawling with my baby boy. i want everyone to please pray for my baby as the next 6 months for us are going to be HARD.

We went to the doctors this morning due to the strange bruises luke has been having. They did labs, they called me a couple of hours later to tell me that my sweet baby probably make leukemia and i need to get to upstate for them to help him

We get here and are welcomed by many doctors and sweet nurses to inform us that our baby does have leukemia and we will tackle this.

We have no answers right now as we have to figure out what treatment he will have to have and what type of leukemia he has.

We love you all and are grateful for everyone. This has been the worst monday and day of my life. But Luke will kick Leukemias ass!!
