Cassandra's Recovery

My name is Vince Rabbitts and I have had privilege of being considered Cassandra’s father for the last 13 years; we call her Cassie. Cassie is a single mother with a young son and daughter. She has put herself through school getting a degree in Psychology while raising her children, working a full-time job, and always finding new activities and experiences for them all. On Christmas this year, she was riding on the back of motorcycle and they were t-boned by a large truck. Unresponsive, she was bayflighted to Bayfront Hospital. She was stabilized and in the ICU after undergoing her first surgery.

She is no longer in the ICU, but has undergone two surgeries on her left leg with follow up surgeries planned to ensure she can keep all extremities. Expenses seem to be growing exponentially and I am trying to raise money to not only cover Cassie’s numerous medical bills – additional surgeries, follow up appointments, and the eventual physical therapy – but to help take care of her children. While myself and the rest of Cassie’s family are pulling together to make sure she and her children still have a place to live, food to eat, and a means of transportation while she recovers. I know this hasn’t been the best year for a lot of people, but I ask if you could please try to put something good back into it by helping Cassie and her children. We can’t offer you anything for your generosity except our heartfelt gratitude. If money is tight, we understand, just please share Cassie’s story with as many people as you can.
