Hi,
I have shared a bit about what our family has been going through with our best friend, Bear. Yesterday I brought Bear to the vet thinking he had a gastrointestinal problem. He is a four year old doodle and has had no major problems. However after xraying for an obstruction, his bloodwork came back with extremely high numbers for his kidneys, indicating an infection and kidney failure. I had to rush him to the nearest overnight vet an hour and a half away. The first visit was 1400, overnight was 3300, and this am they asked for 1200 for additional tests. They are giving him an ultrasound this am. I hate to even have to think about money at a time like this. To me I would do anything to save my boy. He is the glue to our family. I have a 13 year old who won't get out of bed and has been crying non stop. She has depression and Bear is her buddy. My husband, who is a professor of Anthropology never wanted Bear yet has fallen head over heels for him and kisses Bear before he kisses me when he gets home from work. I am in my last semester of graduate school getting my Masters in Social Work. I haven mental health issues that make this so hard but I kid you not, when its rough Bear is the only thing that makes me smile. I can't live without him. Please help if you can. We would like to keep him there as long as possible to save him but realize that there has to be a cap to this at some point. We are tapped out on credit cards and living on one income since I am in school. Any amount helps. please DM if you would rather I can give you the vets number to pay them directly. Anything. Thank you for reading and thank you in advance for any help. Bear sends his love too.
