Hi, my name is Catalina Hernandez. In the evening of April 28th, 2023 I received a call no parent wishes to get. My daughter, Anjali Ibarra Hernandez had been involved in a tragic car accident in Rockingham, NC. A car hit the vehicle she was in and due to her injuries she was airlifted to the hospital in Charlotte, NC. She broke her pelvis and her leg and lost a great amount of blood. She also suffered a cut to the stomach. She has had 2 surgeries and is still to undergo a couple more surgeries in the next few days. She has been able to be awake and has been responding well to the treatment in ICU. The doctors have said these injuries may leave her immobilized for around a year or so as it will be a slow recovery. She is expected to stay at the hospital for around 3 weeks or more. I am here asking for your help as I have been recently laid off from my job, any funds given will go towards hospital expenses as well as gas since I am driving from Candor, NC to Charlotte, NC.
