Dylan’s fight against cancer .

Dylan is fighting a battle that no kid should even have to fight! The fight against cancer. Dylan is 18 and has the sweetest heart. He loves playing Lacrosse, being part of the football team, being an Eagle Scout and volunteering at his church.
The Day before his senior year began the dentist discovered a large mass that had eaten away his jaw bone. After a lengthy biopsy procedure it was determined that Dylan has a rare cancer called rhadomyosarcoma. The tumor had eaten away a large part of his jaw bone which would require an entire jaw reconstruction. At the end of September Dylan endured a 15 hour surgery which required removing the Fibula in his leg and reconstructing his Jaw with that bone. It took over 9 hours just to remove the tumor then the plastic surgery team started his jaw repair.
After a 3 weeks of recovering from the surgery Dylan started Chemotherapy and 1 month of radiation during the month of December. That combined treatment was one of the hardest months Dylan had to go through.
Currently Dylan just finished his 13th week of Chemo and has another 11 weeks to go. He is still in constant PT for both his leg and Jaw which requires a great deal of work to start eating a normal diet again.
I have started a go fund me account to ease of burden on Dylan’s parents. Kaytie and Mike need to be at countless doctors appointments, overnight stays and hospital visits. The medical expenses can be astronomical. We would like to help the family with some of the medical bills that aren’t covered by insurance and add up very quickly. Even when the chemotherapy ends in March there will still be a great deal of physical and emotional healing that will be needed for Dylan and the family.
This will enable Dylan’s parents to concentrate on Dylan getting well and fight this awful disease.
From the bottom of my heart I humbly ask you to share this link with your family and friends and if possible give (any amount will help, no amount is too small)
