Saving My Best Friend (Zeus)

My buddy and I have been through a lot together, from spinal trauma as a puppy, addison's disease, to this now obstruction surgery. At this point he is having trouble recovering but I have hopes because we are fighters. Funds however are running out and unfortunately animals are not treated as us humans. As a pup Zeus came from a terrible breeder. He was scared of the world and everyone in it. He found comfort and trust somehow in me. After losing my last dog, a golden retriever, I thought I would never own a dog again nor did I ever want to go through the pain of losing an animal again. Zeus looked at me, laid in my arms, and I was hooked. Almost dying at 5-6mo from spinal trauma he overcame the unthinkable undergoing various therapies. After 6weeks on a sofa with me he walked thanksgiving morning and brought a smile back to our faces. Fast forward to Zeus at 2years old. We were back in the ER and no one could dignose his symptoms. My friend, Zeus's Vet, discovered he had Addison's disease. Zeus fought and fought to again another miraculous recovery. And now at 4years old here we are in the ER again after another surgery. Zeus had to have emergency surgery Monday morning, 12.19.16, to remove an obstruction in his intestines. The surgery went fine. However, he is having trouble recovering. Part of this is due to his Addison's, but he may have a heart issue, possible blood issue, and there is something going on with his tummy and digestive tract. He is currently at the WVRC to figure out what's wrong. Zeus is a fighter. But this is taking a toll on us emotionally and financially over $5k in medical bills. He looks me in the eye and I feel helpless. Please find it in your hearts to help my boy and our Christmas wish.
