Join me in making a difference – Support the Gurkha Welfare Trust
Hi, I’m Spr Krishna Gurung, proudly serving in the 36 Engineer Regiment & The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers of the British Army. I’m raising funds for The Gurkha Welfare Trust, a cause that means a great deal to the veterans and needy service personnels who are supported by the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
The Trust supports Gurkha veterans, widows, and communities in Nepal with essential aid like healthcare, housing and financial support. Many of our veterans live in remote areas and solely relies on this aid to live with dignity.
To raise funds, we’re hosting a Doko Race — a tough endurance event inspired by the Gurkha selection test. All four squadrons in our regiment will compete in a Commanding Officer’s Inter-Squadron Competition, carrying weighted dokos (baskets) over challenging terrain.
This is more than a race. It’s a tribute to our heritage, a celebration of strength, and a way to give back to those who served before us.
Please donate if you can — every bit helps.
