Hi friends and family,

I am not a fan of asking for help - especially financial help. This, however, felt like a reasonable ask.

As you know, I have a splenectomy scheduled for July 1st, and then brain surgery in August. In preparation I have spoken with a number of people about the recovery process - and what I hear over and over again is, "Smoothies"!

I manage to pay my medical bills, co-pays, Rxs, and other exciting things related to my health...but I find myself with nothing left over for the "fun stuff". The fun stuff, in this case, is a Vitamix. It will pulverize anything. And I will drink it.

I truly believe that a Vitamix will be vital to my recovery! If I can get going on the smoothies before the first surgery, it will help my body be even more ready for what it will go through.
