Approved for Medicaid, but that won't pay the just over $100K in existing charges.

My name is Kenny and I'm Rick's nephew. As a small child, I was his "little buddy"and we were always very close. He's been a large (and less large) part of my life and the lives of so many. He's always willing to lend a hand and he's never short on advice and an attempt to get a laugh.

With all he's been through... Losing my Aunt Cindy to cancer, and my cousin Ricky to COVID... Really, BECAUSE of that, he decided that he wanted to spend the years he had left being closer with family, near and far... So he (not without ceremony) decided to retire. He moved to South Carolina to help care for my father as he's been dealing with a lot of medical issues.

Recently, he'd been short of breath, his appetite reduced and we thought it was pneumonia... After an ambulance ride and a bit of testing, when things had not improved, we found out he had small cell carcinoma in his lungs and some showed in his brain as well. He's begun chemo and will continue along with radiation.

His early retirement had not made insurance an option. And while we are trying to get services discounted or donated where possible, chemo and radiation treatment are not cheap. Without that treatment, he had a few weeks at best, but he's a fighter!

Bills have added up to about $22K so far. And I'm calling out, with the help of his son Brandon and daughter-in-law Liz... Please help one of the greatest guys I know... Donate if you can, but please spread the word and share this campaign wherever you can. Prayers are also welcome!
