Yesterday, May 23rd, my dad was driving my brother to the corner store and decided to take our 2 dogs,  Cinnamon and Sugar along for the short drive.  Cinnamon,  our loving Pitt, for whatever reason,  jumped through the back window while the car was still moving.  We believe she may have seen an animal of some kind. 
We rushed her to an emergency vet and were told she shattered her right femur.
As dog lovers know,  they are like our children and this has devastated my parents.  Our family honestly couldn't imagine our lives becoming any more difficult,  but as of yesterday it has.  The hits just keep coming. 
My mother is currently in remission,  as she was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago.  2 years ago,  she had her best removed.  Not long after,  my dad was diagnosed with bone cancer.  My mom has chosen not to go ahead with prosthetic surgery, due to my father's prognosis. My father has had multiple surgeries and is currently undergoing stem cell transplant treatment. 
Cinnamon and Sugar are our parents world.  They are each other's world-Frick n Frack.
We cannot imagine them apart. Needless to say, both dogs sleep with my father and because he was driving,  is completely crushed over all of this.
We are not the kind of people who have ever asked for charity,  but due to my parents mounting medical bills,  we have no choice. 
Cinnamon is currently at VCA Petcare East Veterinary Hospital, in Santa Rosa Ca.
Currently, her vet bills are close to $2,000 and we've been told her surgery will be at least $6,000.  ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
