On Tuesday, Sept 9, tragedy struck when a fire completely destroyed our friend Dick’s home. At 74 years old, he escaped with nothing but his car keys. No clothes. No phone. No computer. No personal belongings. He is now starting completely from scratch.

What Happened

The fire left nothing behind — every piece of furniture, clothing, and memory was lost. While we are deeply grateful that Dick made it out safely, the reality of losing everything is overwhelming.

How You Can Help

Right now, he needs support with immediate essentials:

Clothes, shoes, and personal care items

A phone and computer to reconnect with loved ones and stay safe

Temporary housing and basic living expenses

Longer-term support to rebuild stability and replace what was lost

Our Goal

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help cover these urgent needs and give Dick a foundation to rebuild his life. Every single donation makes a difference — whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this fundraiser with others.

Why It Matters

Dick has always been someone who gives to others. Now it’s our turn to show him he’s not alone in this devastating moment. Your kindness will bring him hope, comfort, and a path forward.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support. Together, we can help Dick Paget begin again.

With gratitude,

Suzy and Stephanie
