Hello everyone. My name is Angel Rivera, and while I hate to ask for this, I need your help saving my father's home.

It is unfortunate that it has had to come to this, but my family desperately needs the help, and we are all out of options short of begging on the street.

For the better half of a year now, my father, the owner and main breadwinner of our home, has been out of a job due to mass layoffs. He was let go from his job of nearly a decade as AI was introduced into the workplace and effectively removed the need for his department as a whole, leading to him becoming unemployed around last January.

While he managed to find a temporary replacement job, it did not last long, as only a month or so into his employment, my father fell from a loading dock and tore several ligaments in his leg, rendering him unable to walk properly for upwards of two to three months, and to this day he still has difficulty walking on his leg without it occasionally giving out beneath him.

Unfortunately, while he was away on medical leave from his newest job, they decided to terminate him, despite him being willing to still attempt to drive to his workplace nearly an hour away and back on a bad leg. Ever since then, around April to May, we have been living off of anything he could bring in.

He has drained his 401k early, effectively making it impossible for him to retire. He has sought out both unemployment and disability benefits, the former only being able to help so much, and the latter placing him on an eligibility list that could still take another half a year to see any results. He has even borrowed as much from any bank as he legally could, but alas, every avenue he has had has dried up one after the other.

That isn't to say my father has been idle in this predicament, either. For months, in spite of his medical issues, he has been applying for any and all positions that had offerings in his field, going so far as to take offers from places with nearly 2-hour commutes just to find someone, anyone, who would hire him, but to no avail. And so, here we find ourselves in a bind.

As of this Monday, December 1st, 2025, my father is now negative in his bank. He had barely enough to cover the mortgage payment, and with the rest of our utilities coming in, we will be in a hopeless situation in the coming month. We cannot sit by and hope a job decides to take him on this late into the year. Even if one does end up calling back, we will be in the red for quite some time going forward.

This is why I must please ask, no, beg for your help to keep us from losing our home! This has been my home for nearly a decade now, and my father's for nearly two decades. Not only do my father and I call this our home, but so does his partner and live-in girlfriend, as well as her children, one an elementary student and one a high schooler. Not only do we have the children to worry about, but we also have three dogs who must be fed and taken care of.

I am currently employed at a gas station myself, and my father's girlfriend works a warehouse job. However, even with our incomes together, we can barely make a dent in the debt we have accrued. Should we fail to get ourselves out of debt come January, we are facing filing for bankruptcy.

This would not only mean losing our home, but potentially losing our cars, our dogs, and potentially having to live out on the street. I simply cannot bear to let that happen, and so I must ask for your help to save my home!
