Hangar extension for the cockpit and engine collection

Donation protected
Go Fund Me campaign to raise £45,000 to build a purpose fabricated home for the growing cockpit collection at the museum. Most of the airliner cockpits have been operated by either BEA, BOAC or British Airways and the SWAM team would appreciate your support and donations to achieve our goal of building a suitable exhibit hall for these historic aircraft.
The Collection consist of B707, B747-200, B747-400, VC10, Trident, Boeing Stratocruiser/Guppy. B737-400 together with a number of military cockpits including Canberra, Phantom, Nimrod and Victor.
The star of the cockpit collection is G-BDXH which was a British Airways B747-200 and was involved in the events over Indonesia on 24 June 1982, which caused all 4 engines to flame out due to volcanic ash ingestion. The event is well documented but is testimony to BA and the flight and cabin crew that a safe landing was achieved into Jakarta with no injuries to our passengers.
