3473: Team Sprocket was established in 2011 and took a gap year directly after as a result of a lack of resources and funding. Ever since the re-establishment of the team in 2013, the team has been dedicated to rebuilding not only its engineering skills to create a competitive robot but also developing a lasting impact on our community.
For the first time in six years, 3473: Team Sprocket, Diamond Bar High School's competitive robotics team, qualified for the FRC World Championships. We finished as finalists at the Orange Country FRC Regional and quarterfinalists at the San Diego FRC Regional. As we returned to our high school campus this year, as a result of our extraordinarily generous sponsors, coaches, mentors, and more, we pledged to ourselves to give our community the best FRC season yet. The results from the past two regionals represent the best that our team has ever accomplished in its history.
The expenses for attending Championships are immense; registration alone stands at $5,000. Other costs include shipping fees for our robot and pit materials, hotel and flight subsidies, and more. However, we as a team are extremely determined to send each and every member to Houston, Texas, for the experience of a lifetime: to compete with the best teams in the world.
We received notification of our invitation to FRC Championships this past weekend and have two weeks to prepare for the upcoming competition. By supporting our team, you'll be providing an unforgettable experience to 34 students. These students will be able to put their business, engineering, social networking, and a variety of other skills to the test in a competitive atmosphere against hundreds of other FRC teams. Any donation, monetary or in-kind, is greatly appreciated.
