The purpose of this page is to generate funds and support to help my best friend Mary who is like a sister to me. Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer one year ago. She underwent a lumpectomy and after the procedure continued to complain that she was in pain. It turns out that Mary had two different types of cancer, and her doctor had only treated her for one. At the age of 57, Mary had both breast and bone cancer. Her most recent PET scan revealed that she has cancer in her liver, spine, pelvis, shoulder blades, ribs & sternum.

Mary is more than just a beloved mother, and friend. She is also a grandmother, and has been raising her four year old grandson. She is the only person that her grandson can rely on in this world, and she wants to be there for him as long as possible.

Mary intends to use the money for medical treatments that conventional insurance does not pay for. She has found a wonderful doctor that has a high success rate treating patients with stage four cancer like Mary. Unlike traditional insurance whose objective is to keep patients like Mary, comfortable until their passing, the doctor that Mary found gives patients the opportunity with stage four cancer to lead long, full, comfortable and enjoyable lives.

Unfortunately not all of the doctor’s fees are covered by Mary’s insurance company. Won’t you please help this remarkable woman fight this battle and get the treatments she so desperately needs? Please give Mary the opportunity to raise her grandson pain free, and get back to her normal, vibrant self.
