In 2001, 343 firefighters lost their lives in the line of duty during the events of 9/11.
This year, we will be travelling to the United States as part of a group of 343 UK firefighters, each of us completing a stair climb challenge in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
What we are raising money for? (Important – please read)
This GoFundMe is specifically to help cover my and Jamies personal costs of taking part in this challenge:
✈️ Flights
Accommodation
️Event participation costs
Estimated total cost: £2,400
This page is NOT a charity donation page.
It exists purely to help us get to the event and represent UK firefighters with pride.
Charities We Are Supporting
Alongside this challenge, we are also raising awareness and support for two incredible firefighter charities:
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund
The Firefighters Charity
➡️ Any donations made directly to these charities will go to them in full.
➡️ Links and separate donation routes will be shared alongside this challenge.
This challenge is about respect, remembrance, and solidarity between firefighters across the world.
Why this matters to us
As a serving firefighters, this challenge is deeply personal.
Climbing those stairs isn’t about fitness — it’s about remembering every step they took and never came back from.
If you’re able to help by sponsoring our trip, sharing this page, or supporting the charities directly, it would mean more than we can put into words.
Thank you for standing with us
