Hi my name is Lauren and I’m raising funds to help my son represent England at the world championship karate competition this October in Cadiz, Spain.
Noah has attended Blackpool karate club for 5 years and in this time he has worked his way through belts and is currently at a brown 2nd. Noah volunteers at Blackpool karate in the younger class, helping them to master various skills. Noah has also done XMA for 3 years and forms for 2 years with Blackpool Karate. Noah competed at the nationals for the first time in February of this year. His goal was to achieve a place on the England team and that’s what he did with only 3 other people in his category. His goal is to now become a world champion for England which I believe he will do. Noah has already increased his sessions at the club and is now attending 4 times a week and has put all of his other sports on hold to achieve his dream.
As there is no financial support we as a family are raising the funds. Money raised will go towards covering the cost of flights, transport, accommodation, official England clothing, protective gear, competitors fees.
We will be holding fundraisers ourselves such as challenges, bake sales, car washes and school involvement which help cover the remaining cost additional to our target on gofundme.
This is an amazing opportunity for Noah to represent not just England but his community to fight and to be proud of what he has achieved.
When I asked Noah what this meant to him he said
”I feel so proud of myself to get a place on the England team and can’t wait to represent them at the world championships”
Any donations will be much appreciated.
