Save the pin ups from melting!
Decadence Dolls is locally owned portrait studio ran by Autumn Luciano (me!). (Recently voted #1 in the top of the town awards by readers of Lansing MI's city pulse) I specialize in vintage pin up portraits (1920s-1960s, the 40's and 50's being the most popular). I also shoot vintage kids, families, and couples. I have dedicated my life to paying tribute to the past. I have transformed most of my 2000sqft home into a portrait studio, including a vintage living room set, vintage kitchen, studio area, and pin up room where the girls get hair and make up done, pick out clothes, and be transformed into glamorous pin up girls. I feel like it is my calling to keep this vintage lifestyle alive, and to help women channel their inner bombshells so they can feel as beautiful as they really are! We also offer classes to help women learn the vintage styling for themselves, so they can be bombshells every day if they want! We donate pin up shoots to teen girls in dire need of self esteem boosts, and also do a yearly calendar called pin ups love pussycats. 100% of profites from that calendar benefits the mid michigan cat rescue.
Our biggest problem facing us with the hot summer on our heels in this new big house is that we do not have enough window space, available plugs, and just too much floor space to have wall unit air conditioners keep us all from sweating off our make up, and keeping the girls comfortable while they bend over backwards (sometimes literally) in the name of pin up. I have gotten a quote from my favorite contractor ever. He says he can get the central air unit, and installation done for $3,000. I do not intend to abuse this unit for my own melting purposes! I only want it to have on when girls will be over for shoots, classes, and other events we may have. My wall units are staying in place for my own personal cooling needs while the girls are away.
