About two years ago this quote really hit home with me, I had the opportunity to participate in a big race that I had been training for and wanting to do for a while, I worked extra hard in saving for it but when it came down to pay for the race I heard this quote from a message that I believe changed everything, not for the worse but for the best. As bad as I wanted to do this race I felt the Lord telling me to give all the money I had saved for the race and give it as a miracle offering. Even though the amount was not some substantial amount it was more than that because deep down in me I wanted to do this race so badly. I am someone who, when he sets his mind and heart on something he does it.
Now two years later God has opened a door for this dream to come true. Just last October I was able to participate in a National Championship Aquathlon, which entails a 1500m swim and a 10K run. Which after placing 7th in my age group gave me a slot to qualify for World Championship in Cozumel, Mexico. I have the opportunity to be a part of and represent Team USA. An amateur athlete, treated like a professional. I always had this dream and never thought something like this would come true.
Truly when I gave that offering I not only gave that money but my dreams and my desires… in return God has done some amazing things since then… It just shows how BIG our God is and how much He loves us.
With this opportunity there is always a cost and that’s where I put my trust in Him, if He got me this far then I have no doubt He’ll go all the way. In order for my wife (I would never do this w/o my #1 fan) and me to go, I am needing to raise about $5500. Which will cover the cost of hotel/airfare, expenses while there, registration fee, insurance, and races prior in preparation for this race. I am not the type of person to ask for money, but without help I wouldn’t be able to do this. Please consider helping me make this dream come true…
