My name is Katrina Mulvaney. I am 21 years old and I lived in Berry Creek California.
Tuesday September 8th going into the morning of Wednesday September 9th a massive and powerful fire swept through my rural town of Berry Creek California. This fire has stolen our homes and surrounding neighborhoods. Animals and People were lost in the flames..
I personally just finished rebuilding my trailor home with my partner.. we got to sleep in our new home for 2 nights before it was taken. I lived on a commune style property with my family and friends.
On our property alone we had 2 Elderly, 7 Aldults, 9 dogs, 4 cats, a Tourtise, and a Bunny.
My Nieghbor(s) were also living this way.
On their property was 5 Adults , 7 dogs, and about 10 chickens. (Currently in the back of a pick up truck)
Along with another 4 Adults, 5 dogs, 2 cats and a bird. They also had 2 horses and a zebra. There is hope they survived but if we find them care will be difficult.
My best friend down the road had 4 Adults and her 2 children, 2 cats and Dog. The boys are ages 2-4years old. Along with 3 goats and 1 cow.
Total People: 2 Elderly, 20+ Adults, 2 Children, 8 cats, 22 dogs, 2 horses, 3 goats, 1 cow, 1 zebra , 1 bird, 1 tourtise and 1 bunny..
We have all spoken and decided the best way to grow from this is get try and purchase a small peice of land that we can all homestead onto.. We all fear of going bankrupt trying to stay in motels and air bnbs until we can rebuild. Any thing helps as every dollar will go towards a new property where we can all be together in this time.
