My cousin Lacey

Nate here with some good and bad news. So Monday March 1st my family recieved some of the worst news a family could endure. My cousin Lacey, who suddenly lost her clear vision, went to see a specialist looking for immediate answers was diagnosed with a possibility of brain cancer. Myself and many others wondered how such a tragedy could ever happen to such a wonderful and beautiful person inside and out, prayed and prayed for a miracle.
On the morning of March 2nd, after rounds and rounds of painful and excruciating testing, our prayers were answered. An angel was looking after our family and the disgnosis came back as not brain cancer, but a severe case of Influenza A. The virus hit hard and caused an immune response knocking out my her clear vision, brain swelling, white spots on her retinas, and optic nerve swelling. Hours upon hours in the ER, many trips to the eye specialist, trips to the U of I hospital, battery of tests and spinal taps, none of this coming without a major price tag.
Due to the vision problems my cousin is out of work for at least a month. With the medical bills to ensue, I am asking for a little help from all my friends. You don't know how dependant you are on your income until it's no longer there. As a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters she could use any help.
I ask for any contribution to help through the recovery..... so money is the last thing on their minds. If I've ever bought you a drink, shared a laugh, spent money in your establishment, supported your right or wrong decisions, please give anything you can.
